Ms. Elizabeth Scheib
Hi! I’m Elizabeth Scheib and I am very happy to be starting my fourth year at Trailside MS library! I am looking forward to getting to know our incoming 6th graders this year and seeing our 7th and 8th grade. I hope everyone continues to use the library as readers, learners, and makers! During our distance learning time we will be offering digital Makerspace oppurtunities as well as online resources for student work, literacy, and fun. As a former middle and high school English teacher for the last fourteen years I have a deep love of literature, writing, research, oral and digital storytelling, and public speaking that I will also bring into formal and informal lessons in the library online and in person. I look forward to continuing our diversity and equity learning opportunities online as we did in the library last year. Celebrate the wonderful diversity of Trailside with us in the library!
Though I moved here from Albuquerque, New Mexico a few years ago with my husband and daughter, I am a graduate of Loudoun County Public Schools. I aspire to bring the exceptional quality education I received in LCPS, and that encouraged me to be a lifelong learner, to all the students at Trailside. I am a graduate of James Madison University with my B.A. in English. I also earned my teaching license from California State University Los Angeles, and my graduate degree from the University of New Mexico. My travels and teaching experiences in other places greatly informs my world view and my belief that all students are capable of amazing success.
I look forward to seeing you online and in our library!
