Ms. Davis

Hello Newton-Lee Families,

I am so excited to begin another school year in the Newton-Lee community. I have loved being an Explorer! I am equally excited to serve this school in another capacity as Dean.

This community welcomed me with open arms four years ago as a third grade teacher and it has been a wonderful journey. We have some of the most supportive parents in the county and our students are caring, bright, and have a hunger for knowledge.

The 2018-2019 school year marks my 13th year as an educator and my sixth year in Loudoun County. I have taught second and third grades, beginning in Clarke County before coming to Loudoun. In Loudoun, I worked at Middleburg Elementary. After leaving there, I came to Newton-Lee.

Teaching is just one of my passions. I love writing and am a former journalist. I worked at the Winchester Star as the education reporter.

I hail from sunny Florida, so it’s no surprise that I am known for my sunny personality. I attended Florida A&M University in Florida and graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism. I am currently working on my Master’s degree in Education Administration at Shenandoah University.

When I’m not working, I love reading, writing in my journal, dancing, watching scary movies, and hanging with my friends. I love to end my work days with an ice, cold Coca-Cola and quality time with my black lab mix, Dash.

It is my hope to continue to foster a love for reading among our students and create problem-solvers who think critically, creatively, and collaboratively.
