Mrs. Lindsey Vayer

Welcome to Mrs.Vayer's 3rd grade class!

This will be Mrs. Vayer's sixth year of teaching at Cedar Lane! She taught 2nd grade for her first 3 years and this will be her 3rd year of teaching 3rd grade.

Mrs. Vayer grew up and attended school in Fairfax County. She started off her college journey at Old Dominion University and transferred to James Madison University after her sophomore year. While attending JMU, Mrs. Vayer gained many valuable experiences through the education program’s classes, practicums, and student teaching in 3rd and 5th grade. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Liberal Studies in May 2016 and completed the five-year Masters program for her Masters of Arts in Teaching in May 2017.

Mrs. Vayer has wanted to become a teacher from a young age because of all of the wonderful and influential teachers that impacted her life. She strives to have the same impact on her students as her teachers did on her. She wants to inspire her students to discover their interests and talents, while fostering a mindset of being a lifelong learner.

Mrs. Vayer is ecstatic to be a Cedar Lane Lion! She is excited to bring her passion and creativity into her classroom to make learning engaging, hands-on, and enjoyable for every student. As a teacher, her goal is embrace her students’ backgrounds and cultures into the curriculum while building up a classroom community around positivity and kindness. She is really looking forward to meeting and getting to know her new 3rd grade family!
