• Welcome to Harper Park Middle School

I am Master Police Officer Bolden with the Leesburg Police Department and I have been serving in law enforcement since 2002. I have worked in many capacities in law enforcement from corrections to Patrol to Community Service Section.  This will be my sixth year here at Harper Park as your School Resource Office (SRO).  In the past, I was previously assigned to Heritage High School as their SRO. I am currently the assistant football coach at Heritage High School and previously coached at Millbrook H.S. (Winchester, VA) as their assistant varsity football coach.

As a sworn law-enforcement officer, my duty is to provide a law enforcement presence; address any criminal violations affecting or occurring in or around the school; develop or expand crime prevention efforts for students; educate in crime prevention and safety; and ensure that students and school personnel have the safest environment in which to learn and work. I teach the six grade curriculum of G.R.E.A.T. (Gang Resistance Education and Training) at Harper Park. I practice the  method of policing by building bridges between students, staff, parents, and law enforcement because through effective communication we can help children make right choices. I also coordinate the Leesburg Police Department Junior Police Camp which is geared towards middle school students.

If you have any questions, concerns or would like to report any incidents, please feel free to contact me either at (571) 252-2820 (Harper Park), (703) 771-4562 Leesburg Police Station or email at rbolden@leesburgva.gov.
