Professional Biography Jennifer MardenCTE - Business and IT TeacherI am so happy to be a part of the Loudoun County HS CTE team as the Business Education/Information Technology teacher for the Introduction to Cybersecurity, Cybersecurity Software Operations, and Personal Finance classes.
I graduated from Mary Baldwin University in Staunton, VA where I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration, with minors in Economics and Computer Information Systems. My Masters in Business Administration was earned from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. Shenandoah University is where I earned my Virginia state teaching licensure with endorsements in Business Education and Marketing. I have been teaching for the past nine years for LCPS. I am also a former Adjunct Professor for the Kogod School of Business, Masters of Business Administration program, at American Univerisity in Washington, DC (go Eagles!)
Prior to teaching, I worked as an Information Technology systems engineer, consultant, developer, manager, and director for various consulting and telecommunications companies in northern Virginia, Kansas, and abroad (Malaysia, Philippines, South Korea, Chile, and Canada). After seventeen years in IT, I switched careers from doing business to teaching business!
My goal in education is to have all of my students learn many workplace readiness and business skills to enhance their academic and everyday lives. I want my students to excel in life skills: communication skills, people skills, and networking skills. My students enjoy an innovative and enthusiastic class where learning is challenging and fun!
Please check ParentVue or Student Vue for grades and Schoology for lessons and assignments. If you have any questions, please send me an email at Jennifer.Marden@lcps.org.
