• Welcome to Third Grade!!!

    Dear Third Graders,

Hi! My name is Mrs. Henretty and I will be your third-grade teacher this year! I am so happy to be starting my third year at Sycolin Creek! I can't wait to meet you!

Let me tell you a bit about myself...

My dad was in the military so I grew up all over the world! I was born in Italy and lived in Germany, as well as other places like Texas and Maryland. My family now lives in Pennsylvania where I went to school from third grade through college. I went to college at the University of Pittsburgh where I received a Masters degree in Elementary Education. I hope you are a Penguins fan!!!

After college, I moved to Virginia where I started teaching second grade. I taught second grade for eight years in Prince William County at a school called Ellis Elementary. After moving to Loudoun County, I taught third grade for four years at Sterling Elementary.  I'm so excited for my third year here at Sycolin Creek, and that I get to spend it as your teacher!!!

My husband, daughter, son, and I live in Ashburn along with our kitty. My daughter comes to Syclolin Creek with me, and I know she is excited to meet you as well!  As a family, we love going hiking and playing outside. I can't wait to hear what you like to do in your free time! I'm sure you will be hearing many stories about my silly children and crazy cat!!!

I look forward to a wonderful year and know that we will have a lot of fun!!!

    Love,
     Mrs. Henretty

    Meet my family!
