Welcome to 6th grade English! :)

Mrs. Miner grew up in Hampton, VA and went to college at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA. While at JMU, she received her Bachelors and Masters degrees in education, focusing on middle school English and math. After graduating in 2017, Mrs. Miner moved to Leesburg, VA and has been teaching at River Bend Middle School ever since - and loving it! This year in 6th grade ELA, she will be working in something called the Mega-Class with Ms. Koegler, Mrs. Rayburn, and Ms. Mitlehner (refer to schedule below). Mega-Class is an extended classroom offering many opportunities for collaboration and flexible seating.

Mrs. Miner still lives in Leesburg with her husband, who works as a park naturalist. In her free time, Mrs. Miner enjoys working out, hiking, photography, reading, video games, crafting, and spending time with her husband, friends, and family. She is looking forward to another great year at River Bend and can't wait to start learning, laughing, and growing with her students!
