Mrs. Kenny is excited to be here at River Bend as a School-Based Instructional Facilitator (SBIF)!
Mrs. Kenny received two Bachelors degrees from the University of Maryland College Park, one in Mathematics and one in Elementary Education. She received her Masters in Educational Leadership from George Mason University and has a PreK-12 Administration and Supervision endorsement. She started off her career teaching math at Mayfield Woods Middle School in Howard County, Maryland. In 2012, she moved to Virginia and taught math at John Champe High School in Loudoun County, where she also served as the department chair. In 2017, she moved here to River Bend Middle School as the 6th grade dean, and in 2018, she transitioned to the role of an instructional facilitator.
In her free time, Mrs. Kenny likes to spend time with her husband and 2-year-old daughter Layla. She enjoys running, reading, traveling, and being outdoors (hiking, fishing!).
