Mr. David McKenzie
The 2023-2024 school year will be Mr. McKenzie’s 15th year as a River Hawk at Belmont Ridge. Loudoun County Public Schools has been Mr. McKenzie’s professional home for the past twenty-three years. During this time, he has served Loudoun’s students as an eighth grade physical science teacher at Farmwell Station Middle School, a dean at Farmwell Station, summer school principal and, currently, an assistant principal. Prior to coming to Loudoun County, Mr. McKenzie taught high school science in Jefferson County, WV. Mr. McKenzie has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Shepherd University and Masters’ degrees in Secondary Education and Education Administration from West Virginia University and Shenandoah University, respectively. During his time outside of the school day, Mr. McKenzie enjoys hunting, camping, cheering for the Los Angeles Rams and Washington Nationals and, most importantly, spending time with his wife, three daughters, and chocolate lab.
