Mr. Michael Surma

This is Mr. Surma's tenth year at Belmont Ridge.  Throughout his time in Loudoun County Public Schools he has been a 3rd grade teacher at Potowmack Elementary School, taught math at Harper Park Middle School and was the 7th grade dean at Eagle Ridge Middle School.  Prior to becoming the assistant principal at Belmont Ridge, Mr. Surma worked at River Bend Middle School as the assistant principal.  He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from West Virginia University and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Shenandoah University.  Mr. Surma enjoys reading, playing sports and most importantly spending time with his wife and daughter.
