Dr. Ryan Hitchman

Dr. Hitchman is beginning his fifth year as principal at Belmont Ridge.  Dr. Hitchman earned a doctoral degree in education and policy studies from Virginia Tech, a master's degree in curriculum and instruction from McDaniel College, and a bachelor of science degree in secondary education social studies from Clarion University of Pennsylvania.  Prior to his appointment at Belmont Ridge, Dr. Hitchman served as a middle school principal in Montgomery County, Virginia and St. Mary’s County, Maryland.  When not at Belmont Ridge, Dr. Hitchman can be found running throughout Loudoun County, cheering for his Pittsburgh sports teams, and spending time with his wife and their golden doodle.  Dr. Hitchman is proud to be a motivated, dedicated, and educated Riverhawk.
