• Latin Club

Latin Club is sponsored by Ms. Kellan Hogye (Latin Teacher) and Ms. Amy Wilfong (Spectrum Teacher). It is open to all Simpson students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades -- no experience with Latin is required. Our Latin Club partners with the Latin Club at Loudoun County High School, sponsored by Ms. Lynn Krepich. LCHS students in upper levels of Latin visit the club each month to share activities, present information about their current projects, and provide mentoring relationships to the Simpson club members. Together, we explore ancient Roman history and customs through videos, dramas, simulated cultural activities, sports and games, and academic competitions. The purpose of the club is to enjoy learning about the ancient Romans and how their contributions to the modern world are all around us.
