About Me:
Mrs. Matthews is excited to welcome the class of 2025 back for another successful year at PVHS! This is her 2nd year as a counselor at Park View, but she has worked in education for over 10 years and spent the last 5 years teaching Mathematics and Special Education at Park View. Before coming to Park View, she worked at the middle school level as an educator and interned at a community counseling center in Washington D.C.
Mrs. Matthews is a graduate of Loudoun County Public Schools (alumnus of Potomac Falls HS) and also holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Christopher Newport University, a Master’s degree in School Counseling from George Washington University, and completed a licensure program in Special Education at George Mason University. When she’s not at Park View, Mrs. Matthews stays busy at home with her family. She plays softball, enjoys being active, loves watching baseball (really most sports!), and spending time with friends and family. She looks forward to working together with students, teachers, and families to ensure a successful 4 years at Park View, helping students reach their fullest potential, and having fun along the way!
