    Mrs. Stevens, Spectrum

As a native of Loudoun, I graduated from Loudoun County High School and obtained a business degree from JMU. One husband, two dogs, and four kids later, I decided to change career paths and have never looked back. Adding a degree in Business Education from Shepherd University, I began my 2nd career at St. Joseph’s School in Martinsburg, WV, teaching computer applications and 4th grade WV history. I came back to Loudoun in 2000, added my gifted endorsement have been here ever since. (Somewhere along the way, I also added three sons-in-law and 4 grand-kids!)

This year, I am excited to be teaching Spectrum (Loudoun County's Gifted and Talented program for grades 6-8) here at Harmony Middle School. In May of 2014, I completed the next step in my chosen career and obtained a masters in Education Administration supporting my desire to learn about all aspects that govern the education of my students. Outside of school, I enjoy operating a wedding venue in Harpers Ferry, WV with my husband of 35 years.

As always with myself as well as my students, I promote life long learning. In the words of Albus Dumbledore, “It matters not what someone is born, but what they grow to be.”

    Staying Informed

I post my assignments and class announcements through my Schoology classes. Please check there frequently for assignments, announcements, and other important information. Students can find access to their courses through the Schoology app in LCPSGo.

Parents are able to see each of their child's classes, including assignments, calendars, and notices. There is a link to Schoology in Phoenix.

Phoenix is the official grade book for all Loudoun County Public Schools. Spectrum does not grade; however, I do assess your student's work according to our Spectrum assessment guidelines. Those assessments are delivered to you /your student on a Semester basis. All Spectrum student work is completed and kept in your student Spectrum portfolio
