Mr. Mina is a Colombian native. He graduated from Harding University with a BA in kinesiology and dual masters in both education and business administration. Mr Mina has been teaching Spanish for 21 years and is passionate about sharing his love of the Spanish language with his students. He played basketball in Colombia, played 4 years of collegiate basketball in the U.S. and played professionally in Taiwan. He also grew up playing soccer and now enjoys coaching soccer. He is married to Keri, a Fairfax County technology specialist. They have two children, Rachel, who is a law student at American University Washington College of Law, and Alex, who graduated from John Champe in 2018 and is now attending Brown University on a soccer scholarship.
