Greetings

My name is Lori Palmer and I am beginning my fifteenth year as a gifted resource teacher in Loudoun County Public Schools.  I have previously served as a SEARCH and FUTURA teacher at numerous schools in LCPS. Again this year, I am excited I will be the SEARCH teacher and the FUTURA Transitional teacher for Ashburn Elementary School. I am ready for another year of unlimited possibilities!

I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Physical Education with a science endorsement from David Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN, a gifted endorsement from the University of Virginia, a MEd from Liberty University in Teaching/Learning with a gifted education emphasis and a graduate endorsement in school leadership. Prior to moving to Loudoun County in 2006, I spent 18 years moving with my husband and two sons to various military assignments in eight different states.  I have worked in many public and Department of Defense schools as well as home-schooled my children.

My husband and I have two boys, both very proud Stone Bridge High School graduates….Go Bulldogs!  When not traveling to visit family, we spend lots of time outdoors, at the gym, antique shopping, playing with our two dogs or attempting some type of challenging mud run!

Even with the challenges of distance learning, I am certainly looking forward to working with the fantastic Ashburn families again this year! Yay, Golden Dolphins!
