Mr. George Cassutto was the Social Studies Department Chair for Harmony Intermediate School from its opening in 2002 until 2006. He came to Loudoun County after teaching for more than a decade in Maryland, where he resides. He graduated from Maryville College (TN) in 1982 with a BA in History, and he earned a master’s degree at Hood College (MD) in Contemporary Government. He also holds a master’s degree from George Mason University in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in educational technology. He was chosen as Maryland’s Computer Educator of the Year in 1998. He is author of Pocket Guide to the Internet (1998) and Civics Lesson Plans (2006), and US History Lesson Plans (2016). He maintains his own website for teachers and students interested in teaching and learning with technology.
Mr. Cassutto teaches 7th Grade US History at Harmony. From 2002 to 2017, he was on the US Civics team at Harmony. He was the Harmony Drama Faculty Adviser in 2010 and 2011. His parents were survivors of the Nazi Holocaust. Please email Mr. Cassutto if you'd like to know more!
Mr. Cassutto acts as a teacher of homebound instruction for LCPS students who must receive their schoolwork at home. He is also an instructor in the Virtual Loudoun online learning program, where he teaches World History II. He is Harmony's Student Council (SCA) faculty adviser, and also acts as Harmony's building representative with the Loudoun Education Association (LEA).
Mr. Cassutto has 3 grown kids: Grace, Gabriel, and Glorie. He also loves to hang out with his cat, Georgie. Together, they make up the 5G Network :-)

The bell schedule and meeting times are currently as follows:
