Mrs. Renaghan7th Grade Life ScienceWelcome to Mrs. Renaghan's Life Science Class!!! Have you ever wondered how brown-eyed parents can have blue-eyed children? Or have you pondered why leaves change colors in the fall? Or have you ever been intrigued by the variety of living things depending on where you are in the world? Well, you are in luck! In this class we will be exploring a wide range of biological concepts ... from the structure and components of the DNA that codes for the diversity of living things, to the complex interactions between organisms within an ecosystem!Mrs. Renaghan has taught 7th grade life science in Loudoun County for 12 years. Prior to the last 5 years at J. Michael Lunsford, she taught at Belmont Ridge Middle School in Leesburg. Mrs. Renaghan graduated from Mary Baldwin College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a minor in Secondary Education. She also earned her Master of Science degree in Education, specializing in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment, from Walden University. She loves biology, and is looking forward to a great 2018-2019 school year teaching JML students all about living things and life processes! In her spare time, Mrs. Renaghan enjoys hiking, gardening, and spending time outdoors with her husband, her daughters, and her dog.
