Professional BiographyCathryn RobbinsWorld LanguageMrs. Robbins is coming to Riverside after 18 years at Broad Run High School. She has undergraduate degrees from The Pennsylvania State University in Spanish (BA) and Secondary Education (BS) as well as minors in Psychology and International Studies. Her graduate degree is from George Mason University in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Spanish. At GMU her focus was on heritage language learners in the foreign language classroom. She has studied abroad in Salamanca, Spain and San Jose, Costa Rica. Mrs. Robbins has presented at ActivLoudoun/Inspire Loudoun and at the FLAVA (Foreign Language Association of Virginia) conference the past two years presenting on technology and social media in the classroom. Recently, Mrs Robbins became a certified AP Reader. She lives in Ashburn with her husband and two daughters (ages 5 and 3).
