    Riverside Rams! Kim Jackson

College Welcome to my website! This is my 15th year as an educator in Loudoun County Public Schools, and my fifth as a Riverside Ram! My favorite things in the whole world are my three kids, my dogs, and teaching AP Statistics! My goal is for you to love it, too!

Together with Mrs. Briles, I sponsor the math honor society, Mu Alpha Theta. I also cosponsor the Riverside Alumni Club with Mr. Wharton and I'm honored to be the Equity Lead for Riverside.

My teaching career began at Farmwell Station Middle School as a math teacher and department chairperson. I have also been a Dean at Blue Ridge Middle School, Summer School Principal, an online math teacher with Virtual Loudoun, and a math teacher at Broad Run High School. Prior to teaching, I held many positions in the pharmaceutical industry, and worked in Pittsburgh, Phoenix, Atlanta, Baltimore, and Chicago before settling in the Washington DC area. My collegiate alma maters are Indiana University of Pennsylvania (BS in Food Science and Chemistry), and the University of Pittsburgh (Master's degree in Business Administration and a Master's degree in Health Administration). I am currently a doctoral candidate in Educational Leadership at Shenandoah University, writing a dissertation on the problem of a lack of STEM graduates in the USA and how AP Stats may help remedy that situation. My kids are all proud graduates of Riverside. My daughter is now at Florida International University in the Master of Science of Athletic Training program. My two sons are seniors, one at George Washington University majoring in Economics with a minor in Statistics (yay!) and one at UVA majoring in Computer Science with a minor in African American Studies (also yay!). We enjoy fostering dogs, reading and discussing books, traveling, and sports. My virtual office hours for extra help are Mon - Fri from 8:30 - 9:00AM.

All course documents can be found in our Schoology Classroom and on StudentVue/ParentVue in the class website.
