I am a native of Virginia, born and raised in Norfolk. I have two sons, two daughters in law, and two grandsons. One son (a Spanish Teacher), his wife (ELL Teacher), and their two sons live in Singapore where they teach at an International School. The other son (a Computer Engineer) and his wife live in San Diego.
I have been teaching 21 years in public schools, most recently Fairfax County (15 years). This is my first year in Loudoun County! I'm excited to learn new faces at Dominion High School, and love the personal learning environment they have created. I have taught Health, Physical Education, Driver Education (and behind the wheel!!!), Special Education (LD/ED and Severe Disabilities). I have a M.S. in Special Education, a B.S. in Health & Physical Education, and a Post Graduate Certificate in Educational Leadership. Licensed with a Post Graduate Professional Teaching License in Virginia, with endorsements in Learning Disabilities, Emotional Disabilities, Adapted Curriculum, Health, Physical Education, Driver Education, and Education Leadership.
