Thank you for visiting my page. I am pleased to be in my first year teaching here at Stone Bridge High School and my first year teaching in Virginia.

I lived and taught in Juneau, Alaska for the two school years prior to coming to Stone Bridge. I moved to Alaska because I was ready for an adventure. The two years spent in Juneau were two of the most rewarding of my life. However, I was ready to be a little closer to an urban center; so, when the opportunity to move to Northern Virginia presented itself, I just couldn’t turn it down.

I was born and raised in Odenville, Alabama (about 35 miles NE of Birmingham) and attended College at Troy University in Troy, Alabama (about 45 miles SE of Montgomery). I received my B.S. in 2009 in Social Science and my M.S.Ed in 2013 in Secondary Social Science Education.

I have taught in extremely diverse school settings, from rural south Alabama to an Alaskan “city” and now here in suburban Virginia. I am grateful for this opportunity and look forward to getting to know my new students.
