Mrs. Amy Spencer

I am excited to be the Instructional Facilitator for Technology at Woodgrove High School this year.  This is my fifteenth year in education.  Before the IFT role, I was a mathematics teacher and taught courses from Math 6 up through Algebra 2 in middle school and a high school settings .

I am originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education – Mathematics from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, and then I earned my Master’s Degree in Educational Technology from Boise State University.

I have a caring husband and two daughters, 10 years old and 5 years old, to keep me busy at home and traveling to activities. When I have the opportunity, I enjoy baking, reading, walking, crafting, and crocheting.  My family loves visiting amusement parks, playing board games, and competing at miniature golf.  I live in Loudoun County now after 8 years in the Shenandoah Valley.

My goal is to provide students and teachers with the skills needed to succeed during school and in life.  I hope to help everyone have a wonderful school year!
