Degrees and Certifications:
Ms. Kelly McGraw
Hello Trailside Community!
I am excited to begin my second year as an Instructional Specialist at Trailside Middle School, supporting the learning and overall growth of our Pack members. I enjoy spending time with my family and loved ones, reading, listening to music, and supporting all of the Washington, D.C. sports teams. Go Skins!!
I am a Virginia native, growing up in Alexandria, attending Fairfax County Public Schools, and quickly returning to the area after college. I received my Master of Science degree in Special Education from Longwood University where I also received a Graduate Certification in Autism Spectrum Disorders in 2011. I completed the coursework and supervision at George Mason University to obtain a Graduate Certification in Applied Behavior Analysis in 2013. This enabled me to sit for the exam to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), which I passed in 2014 and continue to be a Licensed Behavior Analyst in Virginia and a BACB®-approved Supervisor that provides services in the Northern Virginia region.
This is my second year in LCPS; however, I am not new to teaching nor supporting student’s personal growth and overall development. I taught in Fairfax County as a preschool autism teacher for five years, and continue to work for Applied Behavior Consulting where I began as a Behavior Technician in 2013. I am now their Professional Development Coordinator and have grown into a consultant role providing in-home services and consultation to individuals and their families who are in need of behavioral/educational treatment plans.
