•      Welcome to fourth grade and the 2019-2020 new school year.  My name is Heidi Clark and I am looking forward to another amazing year  in fourth grade at Ken Culbert!  We have a lot of great things in store including an extended day field trip to Jamestown.

Our class is co-taught with Mrs. Puller.  Mrs. Puller and I have know each other for years and been co-teaching for the last three years.  We make a great team!

This will be my fourth year at KWC and 26th year as an educator.  I have taught fourth grade in Loudoun County for elelven years and Rockingham County for four years. Prior to that I taught third grade for ten years in the Roanoke Valley.

I was raised in Reston and Herndon area and earned an Early/Middle Education degree from Radford University and a gifted endorsent from University of Virginia.   I live in Leesburg with my husband and our two college aged sons, Ben (VCU) and Reid (Radford) and our cats.  As a family we enjoy history, traveling, and spending time with family in the Adirondack Mountains in Upstate New York.

In our class we love to use REMIND as another tool to communicate with you.  REMIND is free and has lots of helpful features.  It allows us to text each other, for me to send out group texts and reminders. One of my features is it allows me to send you photos of what your child is doing  in classroom.  Both Mrs. Puller and Mrs. Clark can be reached through REMIND.  Information on how to join REMIND will be available in the fall.

Please visit and use my KWC web page often.  I post all sorts of things you will find helpful there. An example of this is all of the Virginia Studies units and study guides for the year are already posted there. I add things regularly.

I am looking forward to working together to make your child's fourth grade year exceptional. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.  Parents feel free to call me by my first name.
