    Mr. Young, Learning Specialist

I am excited to begin my 30th year teaching, my 14th in Loudoun County. During my teaching career, I have had the opportunity to teach at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. This is my 14th year at Harmony middle. I have also coached football, basketball (boys and girls) tennis and cross county during my teaching career. I love collecting Sports memorabilia and am a huge Washington Nationals fan. My wife Claudia and I live in Winchester VA with my 18 year old daughter Sophia, who will be a Sophomore at Shenandoah University. I love Harmony and working with the students here.

I have a bachelors degree in Physical Education and minor in Special Education. I garnished my teacher certification at University of Virginia in special education. This year, I will be co-teaching Science in 6th grade with Mr. Whetsel, Mr. Caccavo and Mr. Clegg. I will also be working with 6th grade resource classes.

    Staying Informed

All assignments are posted in Google Classroom.

Parents, you can receive Guardian Summaries from Classroom about your child's progress from the individual teachers. If you have not received an invitation yet, please email the subject teacher with a request to be added.

Grades are posted in Phoenix, which you can access through ParentVue

Students and Parents. To find out information about assignments that are due for your child, and other pertinent information, please go to the classroom teacher's page on your child's schedule to access.

    Harmony Teachers

You can sync the individual classroom calendars to the one on your phone or other personal device. Please email the appropriate teacher for the calendar information that you will need. They will be glad to share it.

Here are handouts, study guides, and directions for projects. This folder would be set as Public so students and parents can access what is in there without signing in.
