Mrs. Margaret Ayers

Mrs. Ayers attended James Madison University, where she received her Bachelor’s and Master of Arts in Teaching (K-6th grade). She was a student teacher in Loudoun County, and then joined the Discovery staff as a long term substitute in a Kindergarten class. Last year, Mrs. Ayers loved teaching first grade and misses her students already!

Mrs. Ayers lives in Bristow with her husband, and has lived in the Northern Virginia area most of her life. She loves watching sports, especially the Washington Nationals! She also loves swimming, hiking and being outside.  Mrs. Ayers can’t wait to get to know her students!

Mrs. Ayers is passionate about working with young students, and feels so privileged to be a part of their first grade year.  Students will grow so much socially and academically, and will learn important skills that they will carry with them throughout the rest of their schooling.  In building a safe, inclusive classroom community, Mrs. Ayers hopes to instill confidence in her students to be themselves, work with others, and be curious, engaged learners. Mrs. Ayers knows this will be an amazing year and is excited to meet her students!
