Mrs. Wajsgras
Mrs. Wajsgras is excited to join the first grade team at Sycolin Creek Elementary! This is her third year as a Sycolin Creek Salamander. Before coming to Loudoun County, Mrs. Wajsgras taught 1st and 2nd grade in the Seattle, WA area. She began her career working in early childhood education and child development. Mrs. Wajsgras earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, with a minor in Special Education, from American University in Washington, D.C. Originally from Rhode Island, Mrs. Wajsgras loves visiting her family and the ocean back in her home state. Her other interests include spending time with her husband and cat, riding her Peloton, and reading.
While Mrs. Wajsgras is out on maternity leave, please know that your children are in excellent care and will continue with their learning! Mrs. Albecker accepted the position as a long-term substitute teacher. Mrs. Albecker is a former 1st grade teacher that taught many years at Sycolin Creek and is loved by many Sycolin Creek families. She has a passion for the 1st grade curriculum and working with first graders.
