    Mrs. Laura Robic

I am very excited about beginning my ninth year at Lovettsville Elementary as a kindergarten teacher for the 2023 - 2024 school year. We will all learn so many new and exciting things in the coming year, including idioms.  Don't be surprised if your child tells you they need to "hit the hay early" or "someone stole my thunder".

Instilling a desire to learn and fostering a curiosity about our world is what I promote in our classroom.  Students will be challenged to always try and to do their best and, as a result, our classroom will foster a positive and rewarding experience.

As a lifelong learner, my goal had always been to become a teacher. Graduating from George Mason University with a BS in Early Childhood Education laid the foundation for my plan. Over the years, I have worked as a kindergarten, second, and third grade teacher and a marketing and program manager for MCI.  Additionally, I have been busy raising my family of five, all of whom have finished college and flown the coop.

When not in school, I enjoy spending time with my family, tending to a host of farm animals, traveling, reading, and being outdoors.

We are going to have a terrific year! Enjoy time with your child reading and exploring your environment. Our world is full of lots of cool things to see, explore, and learn about. Fond memories and great learning opportunities await us all!

    Fondly,

    Mrs. Robic
