Welcome! Ms. Russell graduated from James Madison University with her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (Go Dukes!), and her Master's Degree in Special Education from George Mason University (Go Patriots!). She has teaching endorsements in both Middle School Mathematics and Special Education K-12. Ms. Russell began her career in education in 2011 after her two daughters were in school full time. Prior to that, she worked in the juvenile justice system providing services and supervision to court involved youth. Ms. Russell believes that all students can harness their potential and have fun while learning. She loves the River Bend community and is proud to be a Raven! 

Ms. Russell lives in Leesburg with her husband, two daughters, two cats (Sage and Theo), and her dog Jojo. When she's not teaching, Ms. Russell likes to spend time walking Jojo in town, curling up with a good book and a cup of coffee, cooking a new recipe, or watching her daughters dance or cheer. She can't wait to get to know her new 6th grade Ravens this year!
