Special Education Department Chair: Carole Belkin
Mrs. Belkin has held the Special Education Department Chair position for Freedom High School since its initial opening in 2005. She holds a Master's degree in Special Education K-12 from West Virginia University, a Master's degree in Educational Administration and Supervision from Shenandoah University, and a Bachelor Degree in Business Management from Virginia Wesleyan University. Mrs.Belkin has successfully met the requirements as a Highly Qualified Special Education Teacher in the areas of Reading/English/Language Arts and in the subject of Algebra. Mrs. Belkin has twenty-four years of teaching experience at the high school level. She is a co-sponsor of the Hope Club.
