• Marianne Turner

    Ms. Turner has a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Merrimack College, North Andover, MA and a Masters of Arts degree in counseling psychology from Tufts University, Medford, MA. She began her career in 1989 as a school psychologist in Massachusetts. She then moved to California with her family and remained there for 21 years. She was a special needs counselor and a school counselor at Redondo Union High School in Redondo Beach, CA from 1993 to 2006 before moving into administration. She served for one year as an assistant principal at South High School in Torrance, CA and then went on to be the Principal of Culver Park (alternative) High School in Culver City, CA from 2007 to 2012. Ms. Turner was a special education administrator for Orange County, CA for two years just prior to moving to Virginia. Upon arrival in VA, Ms. Turner worked for Lynchburg City Schools as the Director of Student Services.

     

    She is now thrilled to be the Principal, Douglass School for Loudoun County Public Schools! She believes in building relationships and connections with students, and will do whatever she can to ensure that students get what they need to be successful.
