    Mr. Helmold is a career switcher. After spending 12 years in the banking industry, Mr. Helmold went back to school to begin a new career in education.
     
    Mr. Helmold received his Associate of Arts degree from Frederick Community College in 1990, with a major in Criminal Justice. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Mt. St. Mary's University in 2005 with a major in Criminal Justice and a minor in Sociology. He received his Master of Arts degree from Mt. St. Mary's University in 2008 with a major was Secondary Education and a concentration in History. He has an intense love of all things history with a passion for 20th Century history and Political Science.
     
    Mr. Helmold began working with Model United Nations in the Fall of 2008 and has been active in local, national, and international Model United Nations clubs ever since.
     
    Mr. Helmold joined Loudoun County Public Schools and the staff at Tuscarora High School in August 2015. He is currently the co-advisor for the THS Model United Nations Club.
