    Description: 

    Welcome to Broad Run's Book Club! At Book Club, our focus is to instill regular reading habits, as many high schoolers wish to do despite their busy schedules, and to create habitual exposure to new people, genres and perspectives. There is no pressure to finish every book (or even read every book!) or to attend every meeting--we're a very lowkey club. :) Currently, we meet once a month on Friday mornings in Mrs. Nordenman's room (room 202). We discuss the book for that month in an open-minded, diverse atmosphere. We choose books of myriad genres, and we are open to suggestions from our members!     At Book Club, our focus is to instill regular reading habits, as many high schoolers wish to do despite their busy schedules, and to create habitual exposure to new people, genres, perspectives, etc. There is no pressure to finish every book (or even read every book!) or to come to every meeting--we're a very lowkey club. :) 

    Currently, we meet once a month using a recurring link. We read from several different genres, and we are open to suggestions from our members! However, Book Club has future plans to meet up at nice local places like Sweet Frog, Panera Bread, the Brambleton Library, etc. and host a casual meeting where we can just read and chat! If and when there is no longer a safety concern about convening in public places, Book Club will definitely aspire to incorporate more fun ideas into our meetings!
