Mrs. Bawa is excited to be an Instructional Specialist at River Bend Middle School.

She was born and brought up in India, and is now a proud citizen of this amazing nation. Mrs. Bawa received her Master's degree in Education from George Washington University and worked on her extra licensure for Special Education through Shenandoah University. She has degrees in Botany and Business Administration prior to switching to her true passion of teaching. Mrs. Bawa has worked with students at the middle and high school levels in different learning environments. Before moving to Loudoun County Public Schools she taught Biology and Chemistry to high school students at Grafton School in Leesburg, VA. Prior to moving to River Bend MS, Mrs. Bawa taught at JL Simpson MS in Leesburg, VA. Leesburg,Virginia has been home to her for the last eighteen years. Her family includes her husband, 2 grown-up children and a cute little maltese called 'Tofu'. Watching the 'Nationals' play in DC, hiking local trails and gardening is what she likes to do in her spare time
