Ms. Heidi Branch

Hello! Welcome to 8th grade where students have one foot in middle school and one foot on the Riverside High campus next door. It is the goal of the 8th grade teachers to prepare students for high school. In English that means students take responsibility for themselves, grow as readers and writers, collaborate, create and learn from the pros.

Mrs. Branch comes to teaching from the editorial world where she worked as both a software and magazine editor. She majored in English and journalism at Baylor University and earned her master's degree in Designing Digital Learning in Schools from GMU. During her 13 years at Belmont Ridge, she has taught all three grades and currently serves as the subject area lead teacher for the English department.
