Mrs Habibi has been the 2nd grade EL teacher at Frederick Douglass Elementary for the last three years. She will be co-teaching mainly with Ms. Miller and Ms. Estero, but she will be supporting other classes as needed. Before coming to FDE, she taught ELs at Broad Run H.S. for 9 years.
She received both her B.S. in Educational Psychology and her M.Ed. in Curriculum & Instruction with a Concentration in Multilingual and Multicultural Education from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA.
She is the co-facilitator for the Parents as Educational Partners program and the International Day program.
Mrs. Habibi and her husband have two children that graduated from LCPS schools. She loves traveling, reading, and visiting family and friends.
Working with ELL students is her passion because she loves helping them "Find their Voice" in their new school environments!
