Ms. Monge was born in Washington D.C. to Portuguese immigrants and was raised in Fairfax County. She speaks Portuguese, English, and some Spanish. Ms. Monge earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from George Mason University and a Master of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of San Diego.

This year will be Ms. Monge’s sixth year teaching at Park View High School. Prior to coming to Park View, Ms. Monge taught at a private school in Arlington, VA and a project-based charter school in San Diego, CA. At Park View, Ms. Monge teaches Introduction to AP World History, World History II, and AP European History. In addition to teaching, Ms. Monge is the Sophomore Class sponsor and co-sponsor of Rho Kappa, the history honors society.
