Welcome to Team Weidner!

I am excited for my 9th year at awesome Liberty Elementary! I have over 20 years of experience teaching K-3 in Fairfax and Loudoun Counties. I grew up in Springfield, Virginia, not far from here. I graduated from James Madison University (Go Dukes!) and received my Masters degree from George Mason University. My husband and I live here in South Riding with our three children. This year my older son will be a sophomore at The University of Tennessee. My younger son will be a sophomore and my daughter will be a freshman at Freedom High School. 

My children have always played multiple sports, so when I am not teaching, I am usually juggling all of our sporting events. We are big Nationals fans! We also love the Wizards and are Commanders fans as well. My love of sports is apparent when you walk into our classroom. I also enjoy hiking, doing Boot Camp, walking our dog Ginger, and relaxing with a good book.

I am passionate about teaching and strive to create a loving, stimulating learning environment. My students and I call ourselves "Team Weidner" and my goal is for each of my students to feel safe and happy as part of our team so they can achieve their goals.
