Hi! My name is Amy Luik and I am thrilled to be a part of the Liberty family! This will be my twenty-first year teaching in the primary grades. This is my ninth year at Liberty and I'm happy that I am part of Loudoun County Public Schools! I always knew that I wanted to be a teacher and I feel very fortunate to work with young learners each day.

I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Elon University, and graduated with my Master of Arts in New Professional Studies:Teaching from George Mason University in 2013. My husband and I live with our daughter and son. We also have two boxer dogs named Winston and Ivy who are very sweet and sometimes naughty!

I am looking forward to a wonderful year in kindergarten! Please contact me with any questions or concerns you might have. You can email me directly at Amy.Luik@lcps.org or call the school at 703-957-4370.

Hello Kindergartners and families!   My name is Mrs. LaMantia and I am super excited to be starting a new school year with Mrs. Luik as her teaching assistant!  This is my eigth year at Liberty Elementary and my sixth year as Mrs. Luik’s assistant.

I graduated from Southern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Liberal Arts Degree in Psychology and I also have a Paralegal Certification from Roosevelt University in Chicago.   I worked as a Paralegal for many years in Chicago before my husband’s work brought us to Virginia 20 years ago!  While my children were young, I spent many years volunteering in their classrooms before following my passion - which is to teach young children!

I live in Chantilly with my husband and 2 grown children, whom both attended Mercer Middle School and Freedom High School.  My son just graduated from VCU and my daughter teaches 4th grade right here at Liberty!  It is a joy to see Ms. LaMantia in the halls at Liberty!  When I’m not at school, I enjoy reading, bike riding and watching Chicago sports whenever we can get it on TV!  My family and I enjoy trips to the beach and taking long walks in the Manassas Battlefield!

I am looking forward to meeting all of you and having a fun and exciting school year!
