Welcome to Spectrum! I am looking forward to working with 6th, 7th, and 8th graders as we grow and learn together. My 18 years of experience, teaching kindergarten through 8th-grade general and gifted education has taught me that curiosity is a great place to start the learning process. We will question and explore on our journey together.

Let me tell you a little about myself. I graduated from the University of  Florida with a BA in elementary education. I taught 4th and 5th grade in Florida for 5 years. I completed my graduate work in gifted education at the University of Virginia. I am married and have 3 wonderful children, two grown and one in high school. In my spare time, I love traveling, hiking, woodworking, and especially reading.
