Ms. Vivian is a reading specialist at Seneca Ridge Middle School. For many years, she taught middle-school English in Loudoun County, in Shepherdstown, West Virginia and in the Syracuse, New York area. This is her 15th year of teaching.

     As the child of an Air Force colonel, Ms. Vivian grew up moving frequently and lived in many places, including Ohio, Texas, Oklahoma, Illinois, New York, and Germany. She attended Syracuse University where she earned her bachelor’s degree in sociology and photojournalism and her master’s degree in secondary English education. Ms. Vivian has an additional master’s degree in reading-specialist education from Shenandoah University. She currently lives in Chantilly with her two young sons and loves reading, art, sewing, and travel. Most importantly, Ms. Vivian finds that being with her family and her students are her greatest joys.
