    Odyssey of the Mind
Is an international educational program that provides creative problem-solving opportunities for students from kindergarten through college. Team members apply their creativity to solve problems that range from building mechanical devices to presenting their own interpretation of literary classics. They then bring their solutions to competition on the local, state, and World level. Thousands of teams from throughout the U.S. and from about 25 other countries participate in the program. 2018-2019 School Year - For the past 6 years in a row, FHS teams have placed 1st at Regionals, 1st and 2nd at State Tournament thereby advancing to World Finals.  In 2017 FHS earned 1st place at World Finals (Problem I, Division III), and 2018 FHS earned 9th place at World Finals (Problem 3, Division III). FHS has earned a strong reputation for doing well at OOTM competitions. For 2019 school year, the FHS team being all Juniors decided not to compete and concentrate on their academic school work.  The team has also volunteered to host a first ever Spontaneous Workshop at FHS to help teams prepare for tournament, offered coaching advice to a Liberty Elementary School OOTM team in the Freedom Community, and served at Judges at the Region 14 and 16 OOTM tournaments.
