Ms. Ashley Allen

Ms. Allen earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Literary & Cultural Studies as a double major at the College of William & Mary (Go Tribe!). She returned to her alma mater and earned a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on social studies. A member of the JCHS faculty since the 2015-2016 school year, she will be teaching AP World History and Introduction to AP World History this year. A Loudoun County Public Schools graduate herself, Ms. Allen is excited to work with what she knows to be ambitious, hard-working students.  In her spare time, Ms. Allen enjoys cheering on DC sports teams (especially the Nats and the Caps!), spending time with family and friends, traveling, watching TV and movies, reading, and spoiling her rescue greyhound.

Ms. Allen will be using Schoology as the online platform for her courses. Students should be using Schoology to access class materials. Ms. Allen will offer office hours for her students on Mondays: 10-11 AM for AP World History and 11 AM-12 PM for Intro to AP World History; office hour Google Meet links will be provided to students in class. Ms. Allen is also the sponsor of the John Champe chapter of the National Honor Society.

Have questions about Intro to AP World History or AP World History: Modern? Please submit them via the appropriate Google Form links on the Social Studies and Global Studies department page on the Champe website.
