Mrs. Dickson has been teaching for 15 years, the last 13 years in Loudoun County. Prior to working in Loudoun County Mrs. Dickson taught in Prince Georges County in Maryland.
She graduated from LeMoyne College in Syracuse, NY in 2004. Mrs. Dickson is certified to teach both general education and special education. She has had the unique opportunity to be a co-teacher, in an inclusion setting, and to work with a variety of learners in all elementary grade levels.
This is her fifth year teaching full day kindergarten, and her third year at Ken Culbert (she was at Discovery Elementary in Ashburn prior to KWC). She believes in establishing positive relationships with students and transparent, open and honest relationships with parents. She believes in inclusion and every child's ability to learn. Mrs. Dickson is an avid learner and educator. She hopes to foster every child's love for learning.
Mrs. Dickson has been married to her husband Mike for 13 years. They are the proud parents of Gavin, a 4th grader and Conor a 1st grader at Lovettsville Elementary.
Mrs. Flanagan has been teaching for 3 years, 2 years at Kenneth Culbert and 1 year at Purcellville Baptist Church and was a substitute for Loudoun County for 4 years as well.
This is Mrs. Flanagan's 3rd year as a full day kindergarten teaching assistant with Mrs. Dickson. She believes in positive and open communication with parents, and every child's ability to learn.
Mrs. Flanagan has been married to her husband Shane for 12 years. They are the proud parents of four children. Tucker, a 7th grader at Harmony, Annie, a 5th grader, Brendan a 3rd grader and Jacob a 1st grader at Kenneth Culbert.
Mrs. Dickson and Mrs. Flanagan collaborate and work together to meet the needs of all of their students. They have a true love for teaching kindergarten and are an amazing team.
