Mrs. Dickson
Mrs. Dickson is in her 17th year of teaching, 16th in Loudoun County. Prior to working in Loudoun County Mrs. Dickson taught in Prince Georges County in Maryland.
She graduated from LeMoyne College in Syracuse, NY in 2004. Mrs. Dickson is certified to teach both general education and special education. She has had the unique opportunity to be a co-teacher, in an inclusion setting, and to work with a variety of learners in all elementary grade levels.
She taught full day kindergarten for 6 years, and this is her first year as a general education first grade teacher. This is her fifth year at KWC (she was at Discovery Elementary in Ashburn prior to KWC). She believes in establishing positive relationships with students and transparent, open and honest relationships with parents. She believes in inclusion and every child's ability to learn. Mrs. Dickson is an avid learner and educator. She hopes to foster every child's love for learning.
Mrs. Dickson has been married to her husband, Mike for 15 years. They are the proud parents of Gavin, a 6th grader at Harmony and Conor a 3rd grader at Lovettsville Elementary.
Mrs. Dickson works collaboratively with teammates and staff to meet the needs of all of her students. She has a true love for teaching and watching her students grow.
