Miss Nikolette Trofa

Degrees and Certifications:

Miss Nikolette Trofa

Hello! My name is Nikolette Trofa and I am looking forward to my third year teaching fourth grade at Discovery Elementary School! I am eager to get to know my new students, their families, and begin another successful school year.

To share a little about myself, I am originally from Aston, PA, which is a small suburban town outside of Philadelphia. I attended The Pennsylvania State University and earned my Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood and Early Adolescent Education along with a minor in Special Education. I completed a yearlong teaching internship working in both fourth and second grade at Ferguson Township Elementary School in State College, PA.

When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, exercising, listening to music, and cheering on the Penn State Nittany Lions and the Philadelphia Eagles! Not only do I cheer for sports teams, but I love playing and coaching them as well. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to coach fourth and fifth graders at my old school in basketball, volleyball, and track. At Discovery, I coached the fourth and fifth grade volleyball, the Math Tournament Team, co-directed our school Talent Show and I am currently one of the Marvin's Social Club teachers.

My favorite part about teaching is seeing the intellectual, social, and emotional growth every student achieves throughout the year. I cannot wait to see all that my students and I will learn and accomplish this year in fourth grade!
