Degrees and Certifications:
Miss DiLorenzo and Mrs. Old
Welcome to Miss DiLorenzo’s and Mrs. Old’s classroom, Room 202! We are so excited to have you!
Miss DiLorenzo is a graduate of Penn State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood and Adolescent Education and a minor in Special Education. She is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and happily made the move to Virginia two years ago to join the wonderful Discovery team! When she is not teaching, Miss DiLorenzo enjoys spending time with her family and friends, exercising, and traveling.
Mrs. Old is a graduate of Radford University, where she earned a Masters degree in Early Childhood Education and Early Childhood Special Education. She lives in Ashburn, Virginia with her husband and son, Jack. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling to the beach, shopping, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends.
What is most important to Miss DiLorenzo and Mrs. Old is that our classroom community fosters risk-taking, collaboration, trust, and acceptance of others and their differences. Miss DiLorenzo and Mrs. Old understand that every student is an individual and must learn at his or her own pace and, therefore, are eager to provide differentiated, hands-on learning experiences.
