Degrees and Certifications:
Miss Snider is so thrilled to begin her third year teaching at Discovery Elementary. She began her teaching career here as a long term substitute and then as a member of the fabulous first grade team! She earned both her undergraduate and Master's degree from James Madison University. Miss Snider has a dual licensure in both early childhood special education and pre-kindergarten to third grade. She grew up in Ashburn and is a graduate of Loudoun County Public Schools. She is so excited to return as a teacher to the county that provided her with a lifelong love for learning.
Miss Snider enjoys spending time with friends and family, watching sports, especially football (GO PACK GO), hiking and watching movies. She has two dogs named Jake and Jessie. Miss Snider can't wait to get to know you as well!
First grade is such an important year for young learners. Miss Snider believes that a warm, welcoming and supportive classroom environment plants the seeds for a successful learning community. Our class will work together to ensure that each student feels that they have the tools to be successful with the help of an encouraging classroom family. All students have what it takes to find success in the classroom and it is Miss Snider's goal to make sure that each student's potential is reached by providing students with an interactive and engaging learning experience.
