Degrees and Certifications:

Miss Snider

Miss Snider is so thrilled to begin her eighth year teaching at Discovery Elementary. She began her career here at Discovery teaching 1st grade but has loved being a member of the 2nd grade team! She earned both her undergraduate and Master's degree from James Madison University. Miss Snider has a dual licensure in both early childhood special education and pre-kindergarten to third grade. She grew up in Ashburn and is a graduate of Loudoun County Public Schools. She loves teaching in the very country where she gained her love of learning!

Miss Snider enjoys spending time with friends and family, watching sports, especially football (GO PACK GO), hiking, going to the beach, decorating and organizing and watching movies! She is also a huge fan of Disney! She has two dogs, Nellie, a German shepherd/husky mix, and Nala, a red golden retriever. Miss Snider can't wait to get to know you as well!

Second grade is such an important year for young learners. Miss Snider believes that a warm, welcoming and supportive classroom environment plants the seeds for a successful learning community. Our class will work together to ensure that each student feels that they have the tools to be successful with the help of an encouraging classroom family. All students have what it takes to find success in the classroom and it is Miss Snider's goal to make sure that each student's potential is reached by providing students with an interactive and engaging learning experience.
