A long-time corporate sales veteran in the software, telecommunications, and copier industries, Ben Burton is excited to begin his sixth year at Rock Ridge High School as an EL Teacher.
Mr. Burton grew up in Arlington County and graduated from Yorktown High School. He was a member of the wrestling team at Ricks College (now Brigham Young University – Idaho), where he earned an Associate’s Degree in Spanish. He completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish from George Mason University, and his teacher training through EducateVA. He is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in K-12 Administration from The College of William & Mary.
He lives in Ashburn with his wife, four children, and two miniature schnauzers. In addition to teaching, Mr. Burton enjoys running and cheering on his children at their sporting events. He manages the Rock Ridge ELL Department’s Twitter feed at @RockRidgeELL.
