Degrees and Certifications:

Associate Degree in Nursing Bachelor of Arts

MaryAnn Stetter, RN, BSN

In December of 1999, I graduated from Ocean County College in Toms River, N.J. with an associate's degree in nursing. I continued my education and graduated with a bachelor's degree from Seton Hall University in May of 2002.

I started my career in nursing at Ocean Medical Center in 2000. I worked full time at the hospital on two different floors. As a new nurse, I started on the medical-surgical unit then progressed to the telemetry-neurological unit.   While working at the hospital I also held two per diem positions. From 2004 to 2008 I worked at Shore Outpatient Surgi-Center -  an outpatient facility that performed gastrointestinal and gastro-urinary procedures. From 2002 to 2005, I worked at Trenton State Prison in the infirmary or clinic providing medical care for maximum security inmates.

In 2008, I transitioned from the hospital to home care. I held the position of Palliative Care Nurse of Ocean County from 2008 to 2010.

In 2010 I moved to Iowa where I started my career in School Nursing. In 2011, I began working as a school nurse in an elementary school located in the North Scott School District. This is where I fell in love with school nursing. I remained at John Glenn Elementary school until my husband's job relocation.  We landed in Virginia during the winter of 2014-2015.

In August 2015, I was hired by the Loudoun County school system and became part of the Blue Ridge Middle School family.  I am so happy to work with a great staff and amazing students.
